I have always loved drawing, and wanted to work in the creative industry when I 'grew up'! I graduated from the University of Northumbria in 2000 with a First Class Honours degree in Fashion Marketing.
In 2012, after working for twelve years in the fashion and textile industry, I put my professional career on hold and had our beautiful son. Two and a half years later his equally beautiful sister came along. lellibelle came out of a desire to work from home so I can be here for school drop offs/pick-ups.
When I was little, my twin sister couldn’t say ‘Helen’, instead called me Lell or Lellie. This name stuck, and my mum and dad called me Lellie Bell for years. This inspired the name of my new card business ‘lellibelle’!
My designs are inspired by British wildlife. I create them using a combination of appliqué and freehand machine embroidery. The designs are then scanned and digitally printed on greetings cards and homewares, and are all available on my Etsy and Folksy shops.
All of my cards and envelopes are recycled, and the display bags are fully biodegradable & compostable.
They are designed and printed in Cambridgeshire.
lellibelle is proud to support the 'Just a card' campaign and 'We Buy Small'. Click on the pictures to read more about these wonderful teams who help and support independent businesses.
